How to Change Font Size in Telegram

Written by Thirumalraj

You can change the Telegram font size. Let’s see how.

I use the app (Android phone and iPhone), the Web, and the Desktop app.

Table of Contents

Change Font Size in Telegram (Android)

If you’re using an Android device, follow these steps:

Open the Telegram app and hit the three horizontal lines in the left sidebar.

Select Settings.

Hit the Chat Settings between Data and Storage and Stickers and Emoji.

At the top, you can see the Message text size. Beneath it, you can view a slider.

Slide it to the right to increase text size and to the left to decrease the text size.

That’s all.

Change Telegram Font Size (iPhone)

Telegram for iPhone, by default, uses the iPhone text size.

If you want to change both the iPhone’s and Telegram’s text size, follow these steps:

Open the Settings app on your iPhone.

Tap Display & Brightness between Control Centre and Home Screen.

Scroll down until you see the Text Size option. Select it.

Use the slider at the bottom. Slide it to the left to decrease font size and to the right to increase font size.

That’s all.

Follow the below steps to only change the text size of Telegram:

Launch the Telegram app and hit the Settings tab at the bottom.

Tap Appearance between Data and Storage and Language.

You can find Text Size between Auto-Night Mode and Message Corners.

Turn off the Use System Text Size.

And you can see that the slider is active now. Slide it to the right to increase the font size and to the left to decrease the font size.

You can see the preview; if you’re okay with that, hit Set at the bottom.

That’s it.

Change Text Size in Telegram Web or Desktop

Follow the below steps if you’re using the Desktop app:

Open the Telegram Desktop app.

Click on the three horizontal lines in the left sidebar.

Select Settings.

Scroll down until you see the Default interface scale.

Beneath it, you can see these options: 100%, 125%, 150%, 200%, 250%, and 300%.

Choose the one you prefer, and you can see a popup.

Hit Restart, and that’s it.

Follow these steps if you are using the Web:

Open the Telegram Web.

Click on the three horizontal lines in the left sidebar.

Select Settings.

Hit General Settings.

At the top, you can see Message Text Size; beneath it, you can view a slider.

Slide it to the right to increase text size and to the left to decrease the font size.

That’s it.
