How to Change Mouse Double-click Speed in Windows 10

Here’s how you can do this task:

Launch Mouse Properties.

You can alter the double-click speed of your mouse with the slider in the “Double-click speed” section.

Slide it to the left to decrease the speed or to the right to increase it. The change takes effect immediately.

Alongside the slider, you’ll see the “Folder” icon, and that’s for speed testing. Double-click on it to see if the speed you choose is right for you or not.

At the bottom, click “OK” once you’re happy with the speed.

That’s all.

Alternate Method

Start Registry Editor. Before proceeding, I suggest you back up the Registry.

Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Control Panel > Mouse.

Double-click the DoubleClickSpeed in the right pane.

Enter any value between 200 and 900 in the Value data field. Keep in mind that the higher the value, the slower the speed.

Click the OK button.

Sign out and then sign back in.

That’s it.
