How to Change Mouse Pointer Speed in Windows 10

You can do this by following these steps:

Launch Mouse Properties.

Go to the “Pointer Options” tab.

You can change the mouse pointer speed using the slider in the “Motion” section.

Slide it to the left to decrease the speed or the right to increase it.

Remember that the change is immediate, so you will notice a difference in the pointer speed right away.

Click on the “OK” button at the bottom.

Here are alternate methods:

Method #1

Open Settings by pressing Windows + I.

Hit Devices.

Click on Mouse on the left sidebar.

There is now a slider beneath Mouse pointer speed. You can find the latter between Select your primary button and Roll the mouse wheel to scroll.

Slide it right to increase speed and left to decrease speed.

That’s all.

Method #2

Start Registry Editor. Before proceeding, I suggest you backup the Registry.

Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Control Panel > Mouse.

Double-click the MouseSensitivity in the right pane.

Enter any value between 1 and 20 in the Value data field. Keep in mind that the higher the value, the faster the speed.

Click the OK button.

Sign out and then sign back in.

That’s it.
