Every Instagram profile, post, story, and reel has a unique link.
In this post, you’ll see how to copy and share the link of those on Instagram.
I use the Android phone, iPhone, and the Desktop version here. Let’s begin.
Copy Your Instagram Profile Link
Copying your Instagram account link on the Instagram app for Android and iPhone is not possible.
Remember that the link profile link is in this format: https://www.instagram.com/username/
All you need to do is find your username and replace the username in the URL with that to get your account link.
Here’s how you can do that: Open the Instagram app and hit your profile picture at the bottom.
At the top left, you can see your username.
You can copy the link on the Instagram desktop version, and here’s how:
Go to Instagram and sign in.
Hit Profile in the left sidebar to view the profile link in your browser’s address bar. Copy that, and that’s all.
Alternatively, you can share the QR code of your profile with others. Here’s how:
Tap the three horizontal lines at the top right of your profile. Select the “QR Code” between “Archive” and “Saved.”
You can view the QR code of your profile now and hit the Share icon at the top right to share this with others.
You need to visit the profile of the person you wish on the Desktop version.
In the address bar, you can see the link. Copy and share it with others.
On iPhone, you can follow these steps:
Go to the profile you wish.
Tap the three horizontal dots at the top right and select “Copy Profile URL.” The profile URL is copied to the clipboard.
You can share it with others via WhatsApp, Telegram, Messenger, or apps like that, or use it as a WhatsApp status or Instagram story.
For the QR code of that profile, tap the “QR Code” option.
Using the “Share This Profile” option, you can share the profile on DM with your following. Also, you can add the profile to your Instagram story using the “Add Profile to Your Story” option.
If you are an Android phone user, follow these steps:
Visit the profile you want.
Hit the three vertical dots at the top right.
Select “Copy profile URL” to copy the URL of the profile.
If you prefer the QR code of the profile, you need to tap the “Show QR code” option.
You can share the profile with your following on DM using the “Share this profile.”
Copy Others Instagram Post, Story, and Reel Link
Android or iPhone
To copy another’s post or reel link, follow these steps:
Launch the Instagram app and find a post or reel you want.
Tap the three vertical dots at the top right if you’re on Android or three horizontal dots at the top right if you’re on iPhone.
That’s all. The link is in your clipboard now.
The “QR code” shows the QR code for the post or reel, which you can save or share with others. The “Share” option is for sharing it via apps.
To copy the story link, follow these steps:
Open the story.
Tap the three vertical dots at the upper right if you’re on Android. On iPhone, tap the three horizontal dots at the top right.
Tap “Copy link” or “Copy highlight link” to copy the story link.
The “Show QR code” (available on Android only) is for having the QR code of the story or sharing the story with others via the QR code.
The “Share to” option is for sharing the link via apps.
Go to Instagram and sign in to your account.
Find a post or reel you prefer.
The Copy link option is for copying the link, and the “Share to” option is for sharing.
If you hit the former, the link is copied to the clipboard, and when you hit the latter, you’ll see these options:
- Share to Direct – For sharing on Instagram.
- QR Code – For getting the QR code.
- Copy link – For copying the link.
For the story, follow these steps:
Open the story and hit the icon beside the Heart icon at the bottom.
You can choose the person in the popup and send the story to them.
