How to Disable Windows Mobility Center

Here’s how to disable the Windows Mobility Center on Windows 10:

Open local group policy editor.

Navigate to the Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Mobility Center.

Then double-click “Turn off Windows Mobility Center” in the right pane.

Select Enabled.

Hit the OK button.

That’s all.

Note: In order to enable Windows Mobility Center, follow the above steps but select Not Configured or Disabled. Restart your computer if you run into problems after enabling it.

Alternate Method

Open Registry Editor. I suggest a Registry backup before continuing.

Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > Software > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion > Policies.

Hit MobilityCenter. If you can’t find it, you will have to create it. You can do this by right-clicking on the Policies key and selecting New > Key. Press the Enter key after typing MobilityCenter as the name.

Right-click on the blank space in the right pane.

Select New > DWORD (32-bit) Value.

Enter NoMobilityCenter as a name and then press the Enter key.

Double-click it and enter 1 in the Value data field.

Hit the OK button.

That’s it.

Note: If you want to enable Windows Mobility Center, follow the above steps but replace the 1 with 0 or remove the DWORD you created above. Restart your computer if you run into problems after enabling it.
