How to Hide or Display Drive Letters in Windows 10

Windows 10 File Explorer displays drive letters by default.

If you want to hide them, follow the steps below:

Open File Explorer. To do this task, press Windows + E.

Click File at the top left.

Hit “Change folder and search options.”

In the “Folder Options” pop-up window, navigate to the View tab.

Uncheck the “Show drive letters” option. You can find this option between “Restore previous folder windows at logon” and “Show encrypted or compressed NTFS files in color.”

Click the “OK” button at the bottom.

That’s all.

If you want to return to the default setting (which is displaying drive letters), follow the steps above, but instead of removing the check mark, check it.
