How to Show or Hide Empty Drives in Windows 10

By default, Windows 10 File Explorer hides empty drives.

If you want, you can show empty drives in File Explorer. Here’s how:

Press Windows + E to open the File Explorer.

Click on “File.”

Click “Change folder and search options.”

In the Folder Options pop-up window, navigate to the View tab.

Unselect (to display empty drives) or select (to hide empty drives) the “Hide empty drives” option. You can find this one between “Show hidden files, folders, and drives” and “Hide extensions for known file types.”

Click the “OK” button at the bottom.

That’s all.
