How to Enable or Disable Full Screen Mode on Edge

In this post, you’ll see two different ways to enable or disable full screen mode on Edge. Let’s get started.

Method #1

Launch local group policy editor.

Navigate to the Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Microsoft Edge.

Then double-click “Allow full screen mode” in the right pane.

Select Enabled or Not Configured if you want to enable the full screen mode. To disable the full screen mode, choose Disabled.

Hit the OK button.

That’s all.

Method #2

To Disable:

Open Registry Editor. I suggest a Registry backup before proceeding.

Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Policies > Microsoft > Edge.

Right-click on the blank space in the right pane.

Select New > DWORD (32-bit) Value.

Type FullscreenAllowed and then hit the Enter key.

That’s it.

Note: To enable, provide 1 in the Value data field of the DWORD. Or delete the DWORD you created earlier.
