How to Forward Image with Caption in WhatsApp

In this post, you’ll see the steps to add a caption to an image and video on WhatsApp.

You’ll also view the steps to forward photos with the caption on WhatsApp.

I use the app (Android and iPhone). Let’s begin.

Forward the Image with the Caption on WhatsApp

Typically, when you forward an image with the caption, the recipient will only get the image, not the caption.

But you can forward a picture with the caption, and let’s see how.

If you’re on an Android phone, follow these steps:

Open the WhatsApp Messenger app and hit the chat you prefer.

Press the image with the caption you want to forward or tap it.

Tap the three vertical dots at the top right and select Share.

It would be best if you now chose WhatsApp from the popup.

In the Send to screen, please select the chat for which you want to forward it.

Hit the Arrow icon at the bottom right and hit the Send button.

That’s it.

If you’re using an iPhone, follow these steps:

Open the WhatsApp app and hit the chat you want. Long press the caption in the photo.

Select Copy and tap the same photo now.

Tap the Share icon at the bottom left and choose Share.

Select WhatsApp from the popup and select the one you prefer.

Tap Next at the bottom right, hit the caption field, and long-press the same.

Hit Paste, and you can see the caption now.

Hit the Send button, and that’s all.

Add a Caption for Images and Videos on WhatsApp (Android or iPhone)

Follow these steps if you’re using Android or iPhone:

While sending the photo or video, you need to select it.

After selecting the image or video, you can see the caption field (“Add a caption”) at the bottom.

The + you see at the bottom of your iPhone is for sending multiple items. In the case of Android, it is the image icon you see at the bottom.

The “1” you see in the caption field is for view once.

Type the caption (text and emojis) you want in the caption field.

Hit the Send button to send the item along with the caption.

That’s all.
