How to See Who I am Following on Facebook App (and More)

In this post, you’ll see how to hide followers and following on Facebook, see who your followers are, and whom you are following on Facebook.

Also, you’ll see how to stop others from following you on FB and follow or unfollow a page or profile on Facebook. Let’s start.

Hide Followers and Following on Facebook

“Followers” and “Following” are public by default on Facebook. It means that anyone sees who your followers are and whom you follow.

If you wish to hide those from the view of others, follow the steps below.

PC

Go to your Facebook profile and click on “Friends.”

Click on the three horizontal dots beside “Find Friends” and “Edit privacy.”

In the “Edit privacy” pop-up, you’ll see “Following” and “Followers” beside them a button.

Hit the button beside “Following.” You’ll see these options – Public, Friends, Friends except, Specific friends, and Only me.

Choose “Only me” and click on the “Done” button.

Click the button beside “Followers.” Choose “Only me” and hit the “Done” button.

That’s all. The “Followers” and “Following” are hidden from others (if you’ve chosen “Only me”). Remember, it also hides your followers count from your timeline’s “Intro” section.

Android or iPhone

Open the Facebook app and tap “Menu.”

Tap Settings & privacy > Settings > Profile settings > Privacy.

In the “Your Activity” section, hit “Who can see the people, Pages, and lists you follow.”

Choose the option you prefer from the available options. If you prefer to hide it from all except you, select “Only me.”

Hit the “Back arrow” in the top left twice.

Hit “Public posts.”

You’ll see the “Who Can See Your Followers On Your Timeline” section. Beneath it, you can choose the option you prefer.

Choose “Only me” if you want to hide your followers from everyone’s view except yours.

Method #2

You’ll see “Friends” under your “Cover Photo.” Click on it, and you’ll see your Facebook friends.

Click Settings & privacy > Settings.

Click “Privacy” on the left sidebar and select “Public posts.”

Android or iPhone

In the Facebook app, tap “Menu.”

Hit Settings & privacy > Settings > Profile settings > Public posts.

In the “Who Can Follow Me” section, you’ll see “Public” and “Friends.” Select the latter.

That’s it. Only your friends can follow you now, and others can’t.

Notes

  • This change will not apply to people who follow you on buy and sell groups and the Marketplace.
  • It removes the “Followers” in “About” and “Followed by” from the timeline. All your existing followers (who aren’t your friends) can’t follow you because they aren’t your followers anymore.
  • If you want to go back to default, follow the steps above. But instead of selecting “Friends,” choose “Public.” Remember, this brings back “Followers,” “Followed by,” all your existing followers, and allows anyone to follow you.
