You will learn how to change line spacing in WordPad in this post.
I’m using a Windows 10 PC here. Let me show you how.
Follow these steps to apply line spacing to a new or existing document:
Press the Windows + R key to open the Run window and type write. Then press Enter.
You can now see the WordPad.
If you want to apply line spacing to an existing document, open the WordPad document.
You can find the Paragraph section in the Home tab of the ribbon.
In it, you’ll find a Line spacing icon next to the “Start a list” icon.
Click it and you will see: 1.0, 1.15 (WordPad’s default line spacing), 1.5, and 2.0.
If you prefer double line spacing, choose the latter. If you prefer single line spacing, choose the former. You may also choose any of the other options.
This is all there is to it. You can see the changes in the document.
Alternatively, you can do this task via keyboard shortcuts. Let’s see that.
Open the document (new or existing).
Press Ctrl + 1 for 1.0.
Press Ctrl + 5 for 1.5.
Press Ctrl + 2 for 2.0.
Here is an alternative method:
Right-click on the WordPad document’s body.
Hit the Paragraph.
Open the drop-down list beside “Line spacing.”
Select the one you prefer, then click the OK button.
