How to Open Edge InPrivate Mode

What is Edge InPrivate?

InPrivate is a browsing mode that doesn’t save:

  • Form data
  • Cookies and site data

Also, keep in mind that this browsing mode has some limitations. Let’s find out what they are.

  • Your download history does not show downloads made in InPrivate browsing mode. However, the downloads were saved to your device.
  • InPrivate allows you to create bookmarks.
  • You can still be tracked by your ISP, school, or employer.

Now let’s see how to open it on PC, Android and iPhone.

PC

Open the Edge browser.

Press CTRL + Shift + N.

That’s it.

In the taskbar, right-click the Edge shortcut.

Choose the “New InPrivate window” option.

Method #2

Launch the Edge.

Click on the three horizontal dots at the top-right.

Choose the “New InPrivate window” option.

Android or iPhone

Open the Edge app.

Hit the three horizontal dots button at the bottom.

Select “New InPrivate tab.”
