How to Open Paint 3D and Create a Shortcut for it

Method #1

Click the Start button.

Hit the All apps button beneath the search box, and in the “P” section, click “Paint 3D.”

Method #2

You can launch windows 11 Paint 3D with the ms-paint: command. Let’s see which programs support these commands.

  • Run
  • Task Manager (you need to click on “File” and then press “Run new task” to use the command)
  • File Explorer address bar

Using the command start ms-paint: in the Command Prompt or Windows PowerShell is another way to start Paint 3D.

Method #3

Click on the Start button and type Paint 3D. You’ll now see the Paint 3D app and click on it.

How to Create a Paint 3D Shortcut in Windows 11

Here are the steps to add a Paint 3D shortcut to your Windows 11 desktop or “File Explorer”:

  1. Right-click on the blank area of the “File Explorer” or desktop.
  2. Move the mouse over the “New.”
  3. Click “Shortcut” under “Folder.”
  4. When a popup box appears, type ms-paint: and select Next.
  5. Enter the shortcut name if you dislike the one suggested.
  6. Click the “Finish” button.

Method #1

Click the “Start” button or press the Windows key. Hit the All apps button beneath the search box. Select “Paint” in the P section.

Method #2

You can launch Paint with the mspaint or pbrush command in Windows 11. You can use this command in the following programs:

  • Run Command
  • Task Manager (Hit File > Run new task to use the command)
  • File Explorer address bar
  • Command Prompt
  • Windows PowerShell

Method #3

Open the Start menu and type “paint” (without double quotes). The “Paint” app should appear in your search results and click on it.

Note: Alternatively, you can also find the Paint in the Pinned section of the Start menu and click on it.

How to Create a Paint Shortcut in Windows 11

Here are the steps to add a Paint shortcut to your Windows 11 desktop or “File Explorer”:

  1. Right-click on the blank area of the “File Explorer” or desktop.
  2. Move the mouse over to “New.”
  3. Click “Shortcut” under “Folder.”
  4. When the popup box appears, type mspaint and select Next.
  5. Enter the shortcut name if you dislike the one suggested.
  6. Click the “Finish” button.

How to Reset and Uninstall Paint and Paint 3D in Windows 11

Here are the steps to uninstall and reset Paint 3D and Paint:

  1. Open the Settings app by pressing Windows + I.
  2. Hit the Apps on the left sidebar and Installed apps on the right.
  3. Hit the three vertical dots beside the one you want (Paint or Paint 3D).
  4. Select Advanced options.
  5. To uninstall, follow these steps further: hit the Uninstall button. In the popup, hit the Uninstall button. That’s all.
  6. To reset, follow these steps further: hit the Reset button. In the popup, hit the Reset button. That’s it.
