How to Reset the Settings App in Windows 10

Resetting Windows 10 Settings will fix problems with opening or functioning. To do so, follow these steps:

Open the Start menu.

Type settings. Select the App settings option.

On the Settings screen, you can find the Reset button. Click on it.

In the pop-up, you’ll see this message: This will permanently delete the app’s data on this device, including your preferences and sign-in details.

Hit the Reset button if you’re okay with this.

That’s all.

Here are the alternate methods:

Method #1

Open PowerShell as an administrator.

Press the Enter key after typing the following command.

Here’s the command: Get-AppxPackage *windows.immersivecontrolpanel* | Reset-AppxPackage

Method #2

Open the Command Prompt.

Press the Enter key after typing the following command.

Here’s the command: PowerShell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted -Command “& {$manifest = (Get-AppxPackage *immersivecontrolpanel*).InstallLocation + ‘\AppxManifest.xml’ ; Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $manifest}”

That’s all.
