How to Reset Task Manager in Windows 10

To reset the Task Manager, follow these steps:

If the Task Manager is currently running, close it.

Launch Registry Editor. I suggest you take a backup of the Registry before continuing.

Expand HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion.

Right-click on the “TaskManager” key.

Hit the “Delete” option.

Click “Yes” in the confirmation pop-up.

Now open the Task Manager and you will see the change.
