How to Restore Windows 11 Recycle Bin Icon Missing

Written by Thirumalraj

If the Recycle Bin icon is missing on your desktop, try the solutions below one by one to restore it.

I’m using a Windows 11 PC here.

Restore Recycle Bin Icon Missing using Option

If there are no icons on your desktop, including the Recycle Bin, try these steps:

Right-click on the blank area on the desktop and hover your mouse over the “View.”

Enable the “Show desktop icons” option by hitting it. If there is a checkmark next to Show desktop icons, it is enabled.

If you still can’t see the icon, try these steps:

Open File Explorer Options. To do this, open the Run by pressing Windows + R. Type control folders and press the Enter key.

Navigate to the View tab and select Show hidden files, folders, and drives.

Hit the OK button.
