How to Send Location on WhatsApp

If you want to send your current location or nearby location on the WhatsApp app, this guide is for you.

I use Google Pixel 4a (Android 12), and iPhone X. Let’s begin.

Send Location on WhatsApp for Android

Here are the steps:

Open the WhatsApp Messenger app and tap the chat you like.

If you don’t see the contact conversation you want in the “Chats” tab, hit the Green icon at the right bottom and the contact you wish.

Hit the paper clip icon in the compose box at the bottom and select the “Location.”

Tap Continue and select “Only this time” or “While using the app” as your preference in the popup.

The first option provides the location permission for the WhatsApp for this time only, and the other option grants the location permission for the WhatsApp only when you’re using it.

In the Nearby places section, you can see “Send your current location.” Tap it to send your current location.

If you like to send any nearby places to your site, hit the one you prefer in the “Nearby places” section.

That’s it. You sent your chosen location to the recipient.
