When you open a folder or drive in Windows 11, its name will appear in the File Explorer title bar by default.
Follow these steps to display the full path instead of the name in the File Explorer title bar:
Open the File Explorer Options by pressing Windows + R, type control folders, and press Enter key.
Navigate to the View tab.
Select the “Display the full path in the title bar” option. You can find this one between “Display file size information in folder tips” and “Hidden files and folders.”
Click the “OK” button at the bottom.
That’s it. From now on, you’ll always be able to find the full path in the title bar of File Explorer.
- You can’t find these folders (Desktop, Documents, Downloads, Music, Videos, and Pictures) path in the title bar when you try to open them from This PC or Quick access.
- Unselect the option mentioned in the steps and click “OK” to return to the default setting.
I hope this guide, “How to Show Full Path in File Explorer Title Bar,” is helpful to you.
