If you want a scrollable tab bar in Google Chrome, follow the steps below. I’m using a Windows 11 PC here.
How to Enable Tab Scrolling in Chrome
Here are the steps:
Open the Chrome browser. In the address bar, type chrome://flags and press the Enter key.
In the search box above, type scrollable, and you will see this flag: Tab Scrolling.
Open the drop-down list next to the Tab Scrolling flag.
Select any one of the following as per your wish:
- Enabled
- Enabled – tabs shrink to pinned tab width
- Enabled – tabs shrink to a medium width
- Enabled – tabs shrink to a large width
- Enabled – tabs don’t shrink
Click on the Relaunch button.
That’s it.
After the restart, you’ll see two arrows in the tab bar that allow you to scroll through the tabs.
Alternatively, you can move the mouse over the tab bar and scroll through the tabs using the scrolling wheel.
Note: Select Default from the above-mentioned drop-down list to disable the Chrome tab scrolling. Make sure to restart the browser.
