How to Change Taskbar Alignment in Windows 11

The default taskbar alignment in Windows 11 is “Center.”

Here’s how you can change it to “Left:”

Steps

Right-click the taskbar blank area and then click Taskbar settings.

Expand the “Taskbar behaviors” on the right.

The drop-down list is available beside the Taskbar alignment. You can find the latter above “Automatically hide the taskbar.”

Go ahead and open it.

Choose Left.

That’s all.

Note: You can revert at any time by choosing Center from the above-mentioned drop-down list.

Here’s an alternate method:

Launch Registry Editor.

Before continuing, I recommend making a backup of the Registry.

Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion > Explorer > Advanced.

Double-click on the TaskbarAl in the right pane.

Now enter any of the following numbers in the Value data field as per your preference:

0 – Left

1 – Center

Hit the OK button.

That’s all.
