How to Turn Off Slow Mode in Telegram

Written by Thirumalraj

In this post, you’ll see what slow mode is in Telegram and how to enable and disable it.

I use an Android phone and an iPhone. Note that you can’t do this task on Telegram Web. Let’s begin.

What is Telegram Slow Mode

It is a feature meant for groups; only the group’s admin can use it.

It allows you to set a time limit for sending messages, which applies to each group member.

For example: if you set a time limit of 5 minutes, any group member who sends the message now has to wait 5 minutes to send another message.

It is default disabled, and let’s see the steps to turn it on and off.

How to Enable or Disable Slow Mode in Telegram (Android)

Here are the steps:

Open the Telegram app on your Android device and hit the group you want.

Tap the group name at the top and hit the Pencil icon at the top right.

Hit the Permissions between Reactions and Invite Links.

At the bottom, you can see Slow Mode.

Use the slider to choose the duration you prefer. The available durations are 10 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute, 5 minutes, 15 minutes, and 1 hour.

If you want to disable slow mode, you need to choose Off using the slider. The Off is at the left side beginning.

Make sure to hit the Tick icon at the top right.

That’s it.

Turn On or Off Telegram Slow Mode on iPhone

Launch the Telegram app and hit the group you want in the Chats tab.

Tap the group name and hit Edit at the top right.

Select Permissions between Invite Links and Administrators.

In the Slow Mode, choose the time you want using the slider. The available durations are 10 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute, 5 minutes, 15 minutes, and 1 hour.

If you want to disable slow mode, you need to choose Off using the slider. The Off is at the left side beginning.

That’s all.

Thanks for reading.
