Turn Off Comments on a Facebook Group Post
Note: You can do this for your post, or you need to be the admin or moderator of a group to do it.
Here are the steps to turn off comments on the individual post:
Click on the three horizontal dots in the post you wish to disable comments.
Hit the “Turn off commenting” option.
Note: To turn on comments, click on the three horizontal dots in the post and see the Turn on commenting option. Hit it.
Choose Who can Comment on a Facebook Page Post
By default, anyone can comment on your Facebook page post.
Here are the steps to choose who can comment on it:
Click on the three horizontal dots in the post for which you wish to decide who can comment.
If you’re on PC or Android, hit the “Who can comment on your post?” option or “Who can comment on this post?” if you’re on an iPhone.
Now you can see three options:
- Public – Anyone can comment.
- Pages you follow – Only pages you follow can comment.
- Profiles and Pages you mention – Profiles and pages you mentioned in the post can comment.
Select the one you prefer.
Hit the Done button.
Note: On Facebook pages, you cannot turn off comments. However, you can hide or delete comments.
