Like WhatsApp, Telegram compresses images and videos you send by default.
This guide is for you if you like to send photos and videos without losing quality on Telegram.
I use the app (Android phone), Web, and Desktop. Let’s begin.
Send Photos and Videos Without Losing Quality on Telegram (Android)
Here are the steps:
- Open the Telegram app.
- Hit the chat for which you want to send the image or video.
- Tap the Paper Clip icon in the compose box.
- Select the single or multiple items as per your preferences.
- Hit the three vertical dots at the top right of the popup.
- Tap “Send without compression,” and that’s all.
Here’s an alternate method to send uncompressed images and videos on Telegram:
Open the chat and hit the Paper Clip icon in the compose box.
Select the files and hit the Send icon.
Send Images and Videos without Compression on Telegram Desktop or Web
Note: Telegram Desktop and Web don’t compress videos.
Here are the steps if you’re using Telegram Desktop:
Open the Telegram Desktop app and click on the conversation you want.
Hit the Paper Clip icon beside the compose box.
In the popup, select the photos and click on the Open button.
Uncheck the Compress images option and provide the caption if you want.
Hit the Send option.
If you’re using Telegram Web, follow these steps:
On the Web, open the chat you prefer.
Hit the Paper Clip icon in the compose box at the bottom and select “Photo or Video.”
Select the images you like in the popup and hit the Open button.
Now uncheck the Send compressed and provide the caption if you prefer.
Hit the Send button, and that’s all.
