Note: I’m using Google Pixel 4a (Android 12).
The Google Play Store app updates itself by default.
However, if for some reason you don’t have the latest version, you can force the Play Store to update itself, and here’s how:
Open the Play Store.
Hit your profile picture in the top right.
Select Settings > About.
You can now see the “Play Store version.” Besides “Version,” you can see the version of the Play Store you have.
Hit the “Update Play Store” option.
If your Play Store isn’t up to date, it will be updated. Otherwise, you’ll see a popup notifying you that it is up to date.
I hope this guide, “How to Update Play Store to Latest Version on Android Phone,” is helpful to you.
Thanks for reading.
