Let’s see how to do this on the WhatsApp app and Web. Keep in mind that the font size change only applies to you.
I use Google Pixel 4a (Android 12), iPhone X, and Windows 11 PC. Let’s start.
Change Font Size on WhatsApp Web
On WhatsApp Web, you can change the font size by using the “zoom” option in the browser. I’m using the Chrome browser here.
Press the Ctrl key and scroll the mouse wheel down to bigger the font size.
Press the Ctrl key and scroll the mouse wheel up to smaller the font size.
Here’s an alternate method:
Open WhatsApp Web.
Click the three vertical dots at the top right.
Besides Zoom, you can see + and -. The former increases the font size, and the latter decreases it. Use the one you prefer.
Change Font Size on WhatsApp (iPhone)
WhatsApp for iPhone cannot change the font size like WhatsApp for Android.
But you can change the WhatsApp font size by changing the text size of the iPhone.
Change WhatsApp Font Size on Android Phone
Here are the steps:
- Launch the WhatsApp app and tap the three vertical dots at the top right.
- Select “Settings.” Tap “Chats” between “Account” and “Notifications.”
- Select “Font size” between “Media visibility” and “Keep chats archived.”
- You’ll see these three options in the popup – Small, Medium, and Large.
- Choose the one you want.
That’s all. You’ll see the font size change on the chat screen for contacts and groups.
Note: WhatsApp doesn’t have the option to change the font color.
