Select Mobile data & Wi-Fi. Ensure “Background data” and “Unrestricted data usage” are enabled.

Clear the WhatsApp cache on your Android device.

Select “See all X apps.” X is a number.

Find WhatsApp and hit it. You’re in the App info screen of WhatsApp now.

Select “Storage & cache.” You can now see this button:

Clear Cache: Hit this one to delete the cache of the WhatsApp app.
