In this post, you’ll see the steps to send a WhatsApp message to yourself, send a message on WhatsApp without saving a number and send an empty WhatsApp message.
Also, you’ll see how to send a Telegram message to yourself. Let’s begin.
Message Yourself on WhatsApp
WhatsApp’s “Message Yourself” feature lets you message yourself. Let’s see that and alternate ways to do this task.
Open the WhatsApp app, ensure you’re in the “Chats” tab and hit the icon (the one beside the “Camera”) in the top right.
Find your number (You’ll see “You” beside it and “Message yourself” as about) and hit that.
You can now send a message to yourself.
Here’s an alternate method (which applies to Web, Desktop, and Android too):
But for a WhatsApp group, you need two members. In other words, you need to choose one of your WhatsApp contact as the member of the group whom you need to remove from the group later.
I suggest you inform the contact about this before proceeding. After the group creation, remove that contact from the group.
You’re the only group member now, and you can send messages to yourself using this group chat.
Note that you can find another alternative way in this post’s final section.
In the WhatsApp app, tap the green icon at the bottom of the “Chats” tab.
You can now see your number and “You” beside it and the about as “Message yourself.” Tap that and begin sending messages to yourself.
Here’s an alternate method:
If you have your number on your Android phone, tap that contact in the “Contacts” app, and you’ll see the below-mentioned options.
If that’s not the case, add it as a contact, and here’s how you can do that: Launch the “Contacts” app and hit the “+” icon in the bottom right of the “Contacts” tab. Provide the name and number. Hit the “Save” at the top right. Now, wait some time on the contact screen.
You’ll see these three WhatsApp options:
- Message (your number)
- Voice call (your number)
- Video call (your number)
Choose “Message (your number),” and you’ll be on the chat screen of the contact. You can send a message to yourself like you usually send the message.
Alternatively, you can do this task with the method discussed in the “iPhone” and the final sections.
Web or Desktop
In the WhatsApp Web or Desktop, click on the icon (the one beside the dots) at the top of the left sidebar.
You can see your phone number (besides “You”) and “Message yourself” as the about. Click on it, and you’ll be on the chat screen of your number.
Here’s the alternate method (which applies to Android and iPhone too):
Note that you can see alternative ways to do this task in the next section and this post’s “iPhone” section.
Send a WhatsApp Message Without Saving a Number
You can send a WhatsApp message to anyone who isn’t on your phone’s “Contacts.” “Click to chat” is a WhatsApp feature that helps us complete this task.
Here are the steps:
Open the browser of your choice. On my PC and Android, I use Chrome and Safari on my iPhone. Log in to the Web if you want to do this on the Web.
Please type the following in the address bar: wa.me/country code and your phone number.
Replace “country code” with the phone number’s country code. Replace “your phone number” with the number you want to send a message.
For example: wa.me/910000000000
In the above example, 91 is the country code of India, and the rest is the phone number.
If you’re using iPhone, hit the “go” key. On a PC or Android, hit the “Enter” key.
If you’re using an Android device, tap the “Continue to Chat” button, and you’ll see the chat screen of the number in the WhatsApp app.
On an iPhone, in the popup, hit “Open,” and you’ll view the chat screen of the number in the WhatsApp app.
If you’re on a PC, select the checkbox and hit the “Open URL:whatsapp” button in the popup.
If you have the Desktop app, you’ll be on the chat screen of the number you’ve entered in the above steps in the Desktop app.
On the Web, follow these steps: Click on the “Continue to Chat” button and hit “use WhatsApp Web.”
Type the message and send it.
Note: If the number you give is not on WhatsApp, WhatsApp will tell you of that.
Send Blank Message on WhatsApp (Android Only)
Install and open the Empty Text app.
In the “No of blank characters” field, enter the number of characters you prefer.
If you prefer blank rows, select “Rows.” Enter the number of rows in the “No of blank rows” field.
Tap the “Generate” button. Hit the “Send” icon at the bottom right and tap “Send.”
You can view “Share with WhatsApp” and hit “Just once.”
On the “Send to” screen, tap the one to whom you want to send an empty WhatsApp message.
Hit the “Arrow” icon at the bottom and the “Send” icon.
Send a Message to Yourself on Telegram
The below steps apply to Android, iPhone, Web, and Desktop.
Launch the Telegram app. On Android, hit the three horizontal lines at the top left. On iPhone, tap the “Settings” tab at the bottom.
In the Telegram Web or Desktop app, hit the three horizontal lines in the left sidebar top.
Select “Saved Messages.”
Type the message in the compose box at the bottom and hit the “Send” icon.
If you like to send media, you need to use the “Paper clip” icon and the “Record” icon for the video or voice message.
Here’s how you can access the message you send to yourself: You can see the “Saved Messages” chat in the “Chats” tab (on Android or iPhone) or the left sidebar (Web or Desktop). Hit it.
Or you can use the above steps to do this task.
Let’s view an alternate method to send a message to yourself on Telegram:
Create a group with only yourself.
Since you need two people for a group, you need to add one contact of yours, which you need to remove from the group after the latter’s creation.
I suggest you inform the contact about this before proceeding.
