You can message yourself on the WhatsApp app (Android and iPhone) and the WhatsApp web.
Let’s see how to do that. I use Google Pixel 4a (Android 12), iPhone X, and Windows 11 PC.
Send Message to Yourself on WhatsApp Web
Open a browser of your choice. I’m using Chrome here.
Log in to WhatsApp Web.
Type the following in the same tab’s address bar:
wa.me/country code and your phone number
Replace the country code with your country code. Replace your phone number with the number you’ve used for your WhatsApp account.
For example: wa.me/910000000000
In the above example, 91 is the country code of India, and the rest is the phone number.
Press the Enter key.
Select the checkbox and hit the “Open URL:whatsapp” button in the popup.
Click on the Continue to Chat button.
Hit “use WhatsApp Web.”
That’s all. You can send the message to your number now.
How to WhatsApp Yourself on Android or iPhone
If you’re using an iPhone, follow these steps:
If you don’t have your number as the contact on your iPhone, add it as a contact.
Open the WhatsApp app and hit the icon in the top-right.
Find your contact and hit that.
That’s all. You can now send a WhatsApp message to your number.
If you’re using an Android phone, follow these steps:
If you don’t have your number as a contact on your Android phone, add it as a contact.
After adding your contact to the phone, wait some time on the contact screen to see these three WhatsApp options: Message, Voice call, and Video call.
Choose “Message,” and you’ll be on the chat screen of the contact.
That’s it. You can send a message to yourself like you usually send the message.
Here’s an alternate method:
Create a group with only one contact of yours. I suggest you inform that person about this before adding them to the group.
Once the group is created, remove that contact from the group.
You’re the only group member now, and using this group chat, you can send messages to yourself.
I hope this guide, “How to WhatsApp Yourself,” is helpful to you.
